Radar for Space Situational Awareness (RWL)

Radar for Space unified: We combine research and cutting-edge technologies in re-connaissance and surveillance for a safer space as benefit to our society.

Our competence is the detection, the tracking and the imaging of objects in near-Earth space. Our processes and systems, which are unique in Europe, are already making an enormously valuable contribution to protect our infrastructure in space. In the newly established section Radar for Space Situational Awareness, we are pooling our combined expertise in radar-based analysis and characterization of space objects with cutting-edge technologies such as TIRA and GESTRA as well as space-based radar systems. Our goal is to be a European leader in the research and development of innovative systems and techniques for security in near-Earth space.
