The Fraunhofer FHR presents its competencies in the fields of surveillance, reconnaissance and analysis of the space situation. Our space radar TIRA will be presented.
The radar system TIRA (Tracking and Imaging Radar) is the leading system for the observation and analysis of space objects in Europe. TIRA combines a highly dynamic 34-meter parabolic antenna with a tracking radar and an imaging radar.
TIRA enables support during all phases of space missions from launch until re-entry, for instance damage analysis and high-precision orbit determination for the prevention of collisions between satellites and space debris
